The Alchemist Slime Game continues into Week 11!
I got a lot done this week but unfortunately not enough to be system complete. It's been a busy summer and I'm going to try to take one more week to finish the major systems and then move on to design work. I know there hasn't been much direction for testing so far besides testing for bugs. I'm thinking about moving to 2-week releases once design work starts so that I can spend some time creating surveys and more focused tests.
I was able to complete the following:
Start, pause, and settings menus working and accessible
Major interact bug breaking the game fixed (see bugs for starting on the screen, this has been such a pain to fix!!)
Floor grates (if the player walks over the grate as a liquid, they lose their items. Need to get the player to fall through the grate as well and come up with a context/what happens next)
The tasks I'm planning to complete to stay on track in addition to my planned tasks:
Bug: You can launch the alchemist as a solid
Bug: Interact UI starts on the screen
Bug: Make gravity effect dropped items
Bug: Temporarily removed the door (Door opens/closes from any distance)
Continue code organization (behind the scenes)
